Pelvic floor physio is recommended in many different conditions. It is considered first line treatment for issues such as stress incontinence, urinary urgency, dysfunction voiding and nocturia aka waking in the night to empty your bladder. It can also play a role in bowel conditions, pelvic organ prolapse and sexual dysfunction.
More recent evidence it should be suggested to pregnant women to help prepare their bodies for labour, particularly if they are wanting a vaginal delivery.
If you suffer from pelvic organ prolapse and sexual dysfunction such as painful sex it is also recommended.
It is also recommended prior to and following some surgical operations in the pelvis such as prolapse repair or prostate removal and endometriosis.
If you are unsure booking an initial appointment with one of our trained physiotherapists may help work out what type of therapy and management plan you need to help you. We can also help refer you to specialists if further investigation is required to help you get the health outcomes you desire.

Our postgraduate-trained physiotherapists will conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine your unique pelvic floor needs. We offer various levels of assessment, including in-depth discussion, visual and internal examination of your pelvic floor muscles. You have complete control over which assessment method suits you best, and your physiotherapist will provide a clear explanation of the benefits and considerations for each option. Based on the assessment, we’ll create a personalised pelvic floor physiotherapy plan to help you achieve your specific goals.

We will bring all the necessary equipment to the appointment.
We would only ask that you provide a towel during the consult for hygiene purposes.
We also bring along our payment machine to pay at the time of the appointment.
If you are claiming a CDM through your GP we can claim that at the time of your appointment. If you have private health, most health funds allow for mobile claiming. However, some of the major health funds don't allow for this. In this case we would take full payment and send an invoice through after the appointment and you can use this to claim online.
