    Nocturia (waking in night to empty bladder)

    Voiding dysfunction (aka difficulty fully emptying)

  • Incontinence of stool and/or wind

    Bowel urgency

  • Heaviness or sensation of dragging

    Feeling of incomplete bladder or bowel emptying

Pelvic floor symptoms can be difficult to talk about. But often patients will say they wish they attended sooner.

What to expect at your initial appointment?

  • A thorough assessment of your bladder, bowel and sexual function. As well as your general health, exercise levels and past medical history.

  • Education about the pelvic floor and the different muscles that make up the pelvic floor

  • We will likely assess your pelvic floor and provide a tailored program for you. This may include strengthening, electrotherapy, stretches and breathing techniques and more

  • Education about good bladder and bowel habits

  • Have an understanding of your condition and a treatment plan
